February Fun

February is a busy month in the O'Neal household. February 10th is Justin's birthday. February 14th is the famous love holiday, Valentine's Day. And February 27th is MY birthday! :) Lots of love and fun to go around....

I tried to get creative for J's gifts this year. I got him a camo belt to wear when hunting (nothing creative there). J loves Mountain Dew, and  I added a note of " I heart everything you Dew." Next, was the Lifesavers.... "You are a LIFESAVER! Thank you for being a great husband!" And then J's favorite desert gum "I CHEWS YOU!" He got a kick out of my little notes! :)

 Then he gave me this sweet necklace with our wedding anniversary date.....

I must have been extra sweet, because he also surpised me with the key to his heart! ha!

Lastly, I surprised J with a Fruit Loop Pie for desert, since fruit loops are his favorite cereal.

Now for MY birthday....

J surprised me with birthday muffins then gave me two more charms for my pandora bracelet and some water bottles that contained their own filters (my request)!

Last weekend we went home to my mom's to celebrate with my family there and of course have my favorite meal ever....

Needless to say, February left the O'Neal's EXTREMELY blessed! :)

We traveled a lot for Christmas as we do every year....Christmas Eve at my mom's house, Christmas Day morning at my Momee's house (Dad's mom), and then Christmas Day afternoon to Justin's parents' house. We definitely had lots of good food and great family time! I hope your holiday season was just as blessed as ours!

Recap of Turkey Day

This year for Thanksgiving we traveled to Lafayette to celebrate at my Aunt Tish's house with my side of the family. The past two years we have celebrated Thanksgiving at Justin's parents' home. I was excited to see my family and eat 'Our Thanksgiving food.' Justin's family has many great cooks, but to me nothing compares to South Louisiana cookin'!!! My Uncle Chris, cousins Ashley and Meghan, and sister Alycia were unable to make it due to work...so we missed them but definitely ate their share! :P Here are a few photos from a great day of food and family (two of my favorite things)!

Whew! Life has been NON-STOP since August...here are a few things that have kept me busy...

I started my first year teaching...

We celebrated Brooke's Bachelorette Party in NOLA...

Justin and I went to the Saints game on 9/25/11 when we beat the Texans 40-33. 

Justin and I celebrated our Second Wedding Anniversary...

And finally... Alyssa Brooke married Ashton Seth on 10/8/11.

Now...I am enjoying my day off due to Columbus setting sail and finding the U.S. in 1492 by catching up on housework! : p Hopefully, I will be better at blogging now that the wedding is over.
